Recently on Intriguing History we featured some articles on Warrior “The Amazing Story of a Real War Horse” which has been republished by the grandson of General Jack Seely the original author and owner of Warrior. It is a charming account written in the voice and spirit of the officer class of the first world war. The General’s grandson Brough Scott (sportswriter and broadcaster) speaks candidly in the introduction and it is complete with the fine illustrations of the General’s friend, a Sir Alfred Munnings, a very successful painter, member of the RA and a specialist in equestrian subjects…
