BBC Broadcast available on BBC IPlayer from this link for limited time, watch it if you get chance, Max Hastings reflects 30 years on on the impact significance and historical context of the Falklands War.

Broadcast link Max Hastings went out on the troopship Canberra mentioned in an earlier post. As ever his work is thoughtful and informed, not only was he there, an  established historian and authority on WWII the combination of direct experience and hindsight reflection are well worth listening to and learning from.

Many of the families and local histories we are all engaged upon researching will have been touched by that war and the impact and ramifications of what was to follow. Was it one of the most significant in the last 50 ears and do you have a top 10 major events in those 5 decades ?
