Online Norfolk Historic Maps Viewing from County Council project.
Great new resources are emerging online to make old maps more publicly accessible. We know they can tell us so much about our history and here for anyone with a Norwich interest is the start of a new website and resource for Intriguing Mappers. The key question now is how can we best martial and map these new resources and use them for your own family local social or special interest history project…
This new website shows that Norwich City Council are taking the first steps to make these resources more accessible which is good news. Visitors will have seen at our WDYTYA Stand there are some intriguing ways to explore and incorporate old antique maps into your history projects. We are working at resources and toolkits to help make this accessible for all to use.
Watch-out for our series of articles and a directory in the making – Intriguing Maps that you can use in your history project as part of our Intriguing Resources.
